Stay at Crisis centre Røntofte
We offer you and your children care, rest, safety and security. With us, you will get help and treatment from a professionally trained staff, and you will get a great extra “family” within the volunteer workers. When you arrive, a member of the staff or a volunteer worker will greet you. You will be “coded for security” , meaning that we will evaluate if you are in danger. If so, and if we have free spaces, you will be assigned a room.
The first days at the crisis centre
The first three days you are given “refuge “. This means that you will get space to recover and settle down in a quiet pace. Afterwards, you will be introduced to the Crisis Centre Røntofte. When arriving, it is not necessary to bring anything, but if you can, bring clothes, your passport, your health insurance card, NemID, personal belongings, possible medication and items of sentimental value for you. If you have children, bring a school bag, clothing and their favourite teddy bear.
Security
Turn of your phone and disconnect the GPS, Bluetooth and “Find my iPhone”. Check your phone, computer and iPad, and disconnect anything that might show your whereabouts. Remember to do the same on your children’s devices. We will assist you with the technology, but it is a good idea to disconnect everything and potentially remove the SIM card in the phone before you arrive. We have a camera installed outside the main entrance and cameras some places within the house. There is an emergency button connected directly to the police and a safety room in the house if need be until the police arrives.
The beginning of your time at Røntofte crisis centre
We will quickly form a general view of your situation and create the calmest arrival possible. We especially focus on your peace of mind and care the first hours of your stay. You may feel more vulnerable than usual, since everything is new. Most people feel like this. You will be “coded for security” with respect to your situation and given a room, which is entirely yours. During the first three days, you are not expected to participate in the everyday life at the centre or socialise with your new cohabitants. Together we map out your history, and we will start to introduce you to Crisis Centre Røntofte and discuss what kind of help you need. In accordance with the social service law §109, you have the right to stay at Crisis Centre Røntofte completely anonymously.
